Governors
What is a school governor?
School governors are volunteers who help to run the school. They are involved in decisions about all aspects of the school - such as building maintenance and budgets, supporting staff and setting school policies.
Governors also help to make big decisions about the school's long term vision and aim. They support the Head Teachers, but also ask questions and make sure the Head Teacher is taking the school in the right direction.
The governors hold a ehalf termly full board meeting and regular committee meetings. The committees are:
Curriculum and standards - responsible for curriculum, inclusion, child protection and safeguarding.
Admissions
Resources - finance, performance management, premises and health and safety
Headteacher's performance management
